The Minnesota Music Coalition hosts the fourth annual MN Music Summit taking place April 9-11. The 3 day festival for artists, fans and music industry professionals will draw people from all over the region to the St. Paul area. The Minnesota Music Coalition is a statewide network for independent musicians who care about creating and sustaining a vibrant popular music community. Through education, communication and advocacy, the Minnesota Music Coalition creates access to resources and professional development services. The festival will feature a keynote address by world renowned songwriter, author and activist Dar Williams. In addition to her special appearance, the MN Music Summit will include artist workshops, industry panels, mentoring sessions, networking events, an exclusive screening of the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival’s 2015 MN Made Music Videos in addition to live performances. Free daytime events include workshops, panels and speed mentoring sessions on booking, promotions, performance and legal issues, publishing, film licensing and how to make a music video. Dar William’s keynote address will take place on Friday, April 10 at 11a.m. at the History Theatre (30 – 1oth Street East).
