Chores and More Household Help for Senior Citizens Anoka County 2022

**Anoka Details**

The Chores & More Program assists seniors with housekeeping, minor home repairs and seasonal chores. For some people, Chores & More is a solution to a temporary situation such as an illness, injury, or a recent hospital stay. For others, this program becomes an essential service to help people remain living safely and independently in their own homes.

The work is completed by screened  independent contractors (who have completed thorough background checks and interviews), as well as volunteers from local community schools, churches and organizations. For income-eligible clients, our Chores & More services are available on a  sliding fee scale rate (or suggested donation). Who is Eligible for Chores & More Services?

Clients are referred to the Chores & More Program via public health agencies, social service agencies, family members and friends. Clients are also welcome to refer themselves for services.  Below is the criteria for receiving services:

• Must be 60 years of age or older
• Must be a resident of Anoka County

• Minor Home Repairs
  • Changing light bulbs
  • Installing grab-bars for handicap accessibility
  • Checking carbon monoxide & smoke detectors
  • Fixing/replacing faucets & light fixtures
  • Hang mirrors/wall decor
• Routine Housekeeping
  • Dusting
  • Vacuum/Sweep/Mop Floors
  • Cleaning Kitchen
  • Cleaning Bathrooms
  • Changing Bed Linens
• Seasonal Chores
  • Mowing
  • Raking
  • Snow removal
