The Ice Cross Downhill Rider’s Cup event will take place on January 17 and 18 at Afton Alps Ski Area. Over 100 athletes from around the world will be competing in the Rider’s Cup on January 17-18. Ice Cross Downhill is the fastest sport on skates with athletes racing down an ice track with hairpin turns, drops and gaps at speeds of more than 40 mph. The race will set a precedent for future natural track races around the world and provide a platform for the expansion of this extreme sport.
Attending the event as a spectator is FREE of charge. Spectators will be directed to park at the upper entrance to Afton Alps and will be shuttled to the viewing event area at the base of chairlift 11 near the Meadows area.
